Data Collection

This extension does NOT collect, transmit, or store any personal data or images on external servers. All image processing happens locally in your browser using native browser APIs.

Permissions Used

This extension uses the following permissions:

• storage: Used to save your preferences (image format, max width) locally in your browser. This data never leaves your device.
• activeTab: Used to access the current page and add optimization buttons to file upload fields. This permission is only active when you interact with the extension.
• contextMenus: Used to provide context menu options for Drupal field information. This allows the extension to add menu items when you right-click on elements.
• scripting: Used to inject content scripts that add optimization functionality to Drupal admin pages.
• windows: Used to open the image optimization window when you click the optimize button.

Local Storage

The extension stores your preferences locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API:

• Default image format (WebP or PNG)
• Maximum image width preference

This data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to any external server.

No External Communication

This extension does not make any network requests. All processing is done client-side using:

• HTML5 Canvas API for image manipulation
• FileReader API for reading image files
• Browser's built-in compression algorithms

Your images are processed entirely within your browser and never leave your device.

Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, or transmit any data to third parties because we don't collect any data.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top indicates when changes were made.
